Sei Shihan Jane Barber
Sei Shihan Jane Barber holds a 6th Dan Black Belt in the World Seido Karate Organisation and is the most senior woman in Seido Karate outside of the USA. Sei Shihan Jane is the Nelson karate school’s head instructor.
She began training in the 1970’s under Eiko Hanshi Andy in Nelson. She teaches beginner White Belt students through to senior Black Belts.
Sei Shihan Aaron Barber
Sei Shihan Aaron Barber holds a 6th Dan Black Belt in the World Seido Karate Organisation. He received his first-degree black belt (Shodan) at the age of 13 and was the youngest black belt at that time in both New Zealand and Australia.
He has trained, taught and competed in New York and elsewhere overseas but Nelson has always been his home base.
