The dawn of greatness – Nidaime and Eiko Hanshi Renzie lead with a nod to tradition and excellence with a well awaited senior promotion.
Following promotion, tournament contestants will check-in and take a step onto the scale to weigh in with determination and resolve with the hope of emerging victorious in the days ahead.

It’s tournament time! Cheer on your favorite competitors as they fight for the top spot at the Nelson Shibu 50th Anniversary International Tournament.
After the final wrap up of the day, join us at Club Italia Nelson for a night of great food and amazing company.


An opportunity to learn from one of the most respected instructors in the world – Nidaime Nakamura will host a one hour seminar, showcasing strong body and spirit from 9am.
The Seido stage is set for magnificence: the Nelson Shibu 50th Anniversary International Tournament Finals, where Seido Karate’s most elite will clash in a battle for supremacy and honour of being crowned champion.
After the tournament join us at The Buxton Bar and Restaurant for the official night of celebration, camaraderie and reflection, as we reminisce about the past 50 years of Seido Karate Nelson surrounded by old friends, new memories and the spirit of respect, love and obedience that defines us all. Hot and cold platters will be served.
